The Trump campaign's push to challenge vote-counting in battleground states suffered two defeats on Thursday. Judges in Georgia and Michigan tossed a pair of lawsuits, reports the AP. In Pennsylvania, the Trump campaign scored a legal victory, though one that won't halt the count in that state. Details:

  • Georgia: This case emerged after two GOP election watchers raised concerns about 53 absentee ballots in Chatham County, reports the Atlanta Journal Constitution. The Trump campaign alleged the officials in the county, which includes Savannah, didn't follow protocol in ensuring that the absentee ballots arrived on time. A judge heard evidence from both sides and dismissed the case.
  • Michigan: This lawsuit sought to halt the counting of ballots in the state, arguing that the process wasn't being properly supervised by poll watchers, per the Detroit Free Press. But a judge dismissed the challenge and pointed out the issue was largely moot because Michigan's counting was all but complete. She added that Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson already had required "meaningful access" for observers.
  • Pennsylvania: The Trump campaign won a challenge that will grant it closer access to the vote count, reports the Washington Examiner. But it won't actually affect the count itself, notes the AP.
