Critics Are Lying: GMO Food Is Safe

Judging by public perception, genetically modified food is an unnatural abomination being forced on us by evil corporate giants. People are afraid this "frankenfood" will kill them, which is why chains such as Chipotle and products such as Cheerios are going GMO-free. The problem with all this is that study after study has concluded that GMO food is perfectly safe, and groups ranging from the World Health Organization to the American Medical Association give it a thumb's up. At Slate, William Saletan has conducted his own investigation—and he thinks GMO critics aren't just wrong, they're often lying.

Yes, the issue is complicated, "but the deeper you dig, the more fraud you find in the case against GMOs," he writes. "It’s full of errors, fallacies, misconceptions, misrepresentations, and lies. The people who tell you that Monsanto is hiding the truth are themselves hiding evidence that their own allegations about GMOs are false.
