France's immigration minister has postponed his wedding after more than 1,000 people joined a Facebook group vowing to disrupt it. Eric Besson—who planned to marry a 24-year-old Tunisian immigrant in Paris later this month—has spearheaded France's campaign to expel gypsy immigrants. Protesters promised to give him "the same medicine" that French authorities are giving the immigrants, the Independent reports.

Besson slammed a French newspaper for revealing the time and date of the wedding, and said he would reschedule it "to make sure that it becomes again something that it should never have ceased to be—an exclusively private matter."
