Lawyers Mad at Law Schools Over Lack of Jobs

As with most other professions, recent law school grads have met with a harsh employment market ... and some of them are mad at law schools for "misrepresenting" the wealth-producing, exciting, and glamorous careers they were expecting and don't have. The woman behind UnemployedJD.com has gone on a hunger strike. Others have started blogs (with names like "Scammed Hard" and "Shilling Me Softly") to navel gaze about their misfortune.

Despite glum prospects—one economist quoted in USA Today says, "We are entering the age of the overeducated American, the person with college degrees who cuts hair, trims trees, drives trucks"—the number of law school applicants for this fall's entering classes rose 2.2%.
