The Wild, undefeated and hot off a big win against Anaheim, fell hard against the struggling Kings last night. The Wild's uncharacteristically undisciplined play handed the Kings eight power plays. The Kings then chalked up shootout goals from all three shooters to take the game 4-3, saving them from dropping six straight.

Minnesota had a chance to take over in the third period on a power play, but couldn't score, and, more embarrassingly, gave up a short-handed goal to second-year forward Anze Kopiter. The Wild remain the only team in the league not to have lost a game in regulation play.  (More NHL stories.)
