(AP Photo/ Northumbria Police) Teams of armed police from across England have been sent to the country's northeast to hunt for a killer who has declared war on the police. Raoul Moat—who killed his ex-girlfriend's new partner days after being released from prison last week—shot and injured a policeman Sunday morning and has vowed to kill again, the Telegraph reports. "The public need not fear me, but the police should as I won't stop till I am dead," Moat, who has made several phone calls taunting police, wrote in a 40-page letter he gave to a friend. Police say Moat's rampage began after he was told that his ex-girlfriend's new man was a police officer. He was in fact a karate instructor, but his ex-girlfriend—who is recovering in hospital after being shot in the stomach by Moat—had told Moat he was a policeman, hoping that would scare him off.
