Feds Nab 11th Suspect in Russian Spy Ring

An 11th person has been arrested in the alleged Russian spy ring today. Robert Christopher Metsos, 55, was nabbed in Cyprus, trying to hop a flight to Budapest, MSNBC reports. He has been released on bail on the island.

Russia today decried the spying allegations as "baseless and improper," calling them a throwback to the Cold War. Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that Moscow still hadn't gotten an explanation from the US. "The subject was not explained to us," he huffed. "The choice of timing was particularly graceful," he added, given that the arrests come just days after Dmitry Medvedev's chummy visit to Washington.
