The visiting New York Rangers dropped to 1-2 after failing to convert on power plays and finding the net just once on opposing goalie Rick DiPietro. Rangers captain Jaromir Jagr said his of his team's chemistry, 'it’s not there yet," according to the New York Times. The Islanders moved to 3-1 on the season and a 4-point first place lead in the Atlantic division.
