It's not as X-rated as it sounds

If your privacy beef with Facebook is that it doesn't have enough private parts, Skinbook may be the site for you. Billing itself as the web's only true nudist social network, the UK-based site has some rules: No pornographic photos, torso-only images, or dirty comments. But for the rules to apply, you have to get in the door—only 10% of those who sign up are made a member, the rest denied because of X-rated applications, reports Time.

Skinbook doesn't exactly resemble your local nudist club: It skews younger (its 9,000 members are closer to 35 than 60) and is more female- and couple-filled. "For younger people, nudism is purely recreational," explains Skinbook's 25-year-old co-founder, who is a (fully-clothed) student by day. "The idea of going to a colony populated with single elderly guys in sandals and socks, to me that's just too cultish and weird." (More Skinbook stories.)
