An image of Marilyn Monroe that may be too revealing even for the most ardent fan will be hitting the auction block later this year. A 1954 chest X-Ray of the star taken by a young doctor at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles will be among an assortment of unusual Monroe-related items—including her psychiatrist's couch and financial records—at a showbiz memorabilia sale in Las Vegas, the Telegraph reports.
Auction house manager Darren Julian predicts the X-ray, taken when Monroe was undergoing treatment for endometriosis, will fetch close to $1,200. "There should be a lot of interest as it is the ultimate look into the legend," he said. More conventional items for sale include scripts and previously unseen photos of Monroe on the set of Some Like It Hot with co-star Tony Curtis. (More auction stories.)
