Stocks were mixed today, as pharmaceutical firms declined after Johnson & Johnson’s quarterly earnings failed to meet expectations. Health insurance companies also took a hit, perhaps because of the Senate Finance Committee’s approval of the Baucus bill. The Dow fell 15 points to close at 9,871. The Nasdaq added 1 point, settling at 2,140, and the S&P 500 lost 3 points to close at 1,073, the Wall Street Journal reports.
