A Facebook petition drive by fans of the actor who plays Harry Potter's sidekick have won release of an edgy sex- and drug-fueled coming-of-age film about a Belfast teen starring Rupert Grint. The film, Cherrybomb, premiered at the Berlin Film Festival but failed to find a distributor. A British company, impressed by the 10,000-strong Facebook campaign, has now picked up the movie for release early next year. “I am backing this campaign wholeheartedly," gushed Grint, who also thanked fans for traveling to film festivals to support the movie.
