Moore: I'm Not Dems' Limbaugh

Just as Democrats are gleefully strapping Rush Limbaugh to the Republican Party, President Bush’s team once hatched a plan to tie filmmaker Michael Moore to Democrats. But, Moore writes for the Huffington Post, there’s one crucial difference between him and Rush: “The American people agree with me, not Rush.” That’s why the majority voted for the same guy he did in November.

Moore allows that it wasn’t always like that. “At the beginning of the Bush years, I was pretty much an outsider,” he recalls. But the more Republicans attacked, the more people saw his work. Now, he’s a mainstream voice for the majority. That’ll never happen for Limbaugh: “The majority of Americans will never be sympathetic to him, because they simply don’t agree with him.” (More Michael Moore stories.)
