The frontman discussed the mystique of rock stars dying young with a BBC TV show, claiming “people do want you to die on a cross age 33, with a Jack Daniels in your hand,” the Mirror reports. But Bono pledged to play shows until old age, saying, “Our job is to derail a mythology that isn’t helpful to music.”
