Holocaust memoir faker Herman Rosenblat appears on Good Morning America today in his first TV appearance since his downfall, Gawker reports. A leaked video of Rosenblat being interviewed made it onto YouTube last night, and shows the story he’s trying to spin: that he convinced himself he was the boy his wife tossed apples to in a concentration camp.

“In reality, I wasn't telling the truth, because she didn't throw the apple to me. But in my mind I believe she did. I still believe it's me,” Rosenblat says in the video. “I did no harm to anybody; in fact I did good to people. I made a mistake and I want America to forgive me.”
