Alison Krauss and Robert Plant boasted the highest number of Grammys last night, grabbing five awards, including honors for Album of the Year for Raising Sand, E! reports. Other big winners included Lil Wayne, who scooped up four Grammys, and Coldplay, which snagged three awards, including one for Best Rock Album, after band member Will Champion apologized to Paul McCartney for ripping off the Sgt. Pepper look on the group's last album.
For the second year running, a Brit—this time Adele, not Amy—won the nod for Best New Artist. Only 10 of the more than 170 awards were handed out during prime time—the rest of the lengthy ceremony was devoted to live performances that brought together a Foo Fighter and a Beatle, a country superstar and a soul legend, and Radiohead and the USC marching band.
