Neighbors of an organization that has become the center of Switzerland's "assisted suicide tourism" have demanded an end to the deaths in their housing complex, the Guardian reports. Residents complain about the stream of ambulances and bodies that have disturbed their sleep for 9 years as some 700 people have committed suicide with the help of Dignitas.
Now Zurich officials have ordered Dignitas to move out of its headquarters in the complex. The organization is looking for "new quarters," said the group's leader. If another location can't be found, Dignitas may "set up in a caravan," providing an opportunity for the group to move around, he added. (More assisted suicide stories.)
