An Arizona woman ran about a mile with a rabid fox’s jaws clamped around her arm, the Prescott Daily Courier reports. A fox attacked Michelle Felicepta, 30, while she was jogging Monday, biting deeply into her arm. Knowing the fox would need to be tested, she ran the mile back to her car, choking the animal still chewing on her arm.

“Thank God for adrenaline,” Felicepta said. After reaching her car, she wrapped her sweatshirt around the animal and threw it into the trunk “as hard as I could.” Luckily, she and the fox reached the local hospital. Felicepta will get five rabies shots over the next few weeks. (More rabies stories.)
