The much-repeated charge that someone in the crowd at a Sarah Palin rally in Scranton shouted “kill him” at the mention of Barack Obama is unfounded, according to a Secret Service agent. No agents in the crowd heard the shout, nor did any crowdmembers the service interviewed, reports the Wilkes-Barre Times-Leader. Numerous media outlets have repeated the story, citing the original report in the Scranton Times-Tribune, which has stood by its story.
