With the city facing job loss and financial crisis, everyone likes Mike, at least for another 4 years. That includes the city's newspapers, whether opposed to (the Times) or supportive of (the Daily News) term limits in the past. Bloomberg’s elite-level support isn’t limited to the editorial pages. After launching something of a behind-closed-doors campaign, he won Rupert Murdoch's backing. And a host of powerful business leaders support the mayor’s effort. Whether it all adds up to popular support is another question. “If voters don’t like what they’ve seen, they will vote for someone else,” says Bloomberg.
