Joe Biden barely mentions Palin in his fiery speeches to crowds of varying size, but he is unsparing in his criticism of the "out-of-touch" McCain.
Reporters are thin on the ground at Biden speeches—and it tends to be just his gaffes that make the news—but his message resonates with working-class voters unsure of Obama.
