California officials are investigating three deaths and a rape at a Pasadena hospital that's home to a rehab facility run by physician-to-the-stars "Dr. Drew" Pinsky. The deaths occurred at Aurora Las Encinas Hospital, where Pinsky is co-director of the chemical dependency program. Two of the patients died of drug overdoses in the substance abuse facility, the Los Angeles Times has reported.
Pinsky, who hosts radio's Loveline and VH1's Celebrity Rehab, told ABC News he had nothing to do with the patients involved. "I'm not being investigated," he told the Los Angeles Times, but he called the hospital "excellent." Pinsky's photo, featured on the hospital website, has been removed. (More Dr. Drew stories.)
