(AP Photo, file) Police have banned Pete Doherty's band Babyshambles from headlining a UK music festival, citing the group's rowdy stage antics, NME reports. After "an analysis of what Pete Doherty and his band does," police determined they "speed up and then slow down the music" to incite violence. Moonfest organizers had their license revoked and canceled the Wiltshire festival as a result. "The whole thing is a farce," responded Babyshambles' drummer. "It's almost comical." Both the band and organizers vow to honor the 150 tickets sold with a private show at a yet unnamed venue. "We might even do it at Pete's house in a big barn," said the band's manager, "but as far as the festival goes our hands are tied."
