The funeral for a 20-year-old shooting victim was interrupted Friday by gunfire outside a Pittsburgh church. Six people were wounded, one critically, in the Brighton Heights neighborhood during the service at Destiny of Faith Church, police said. The funeral of John James Hornezes Jr. was livestreamed, and viewers saw mourners fleeing and screaming when the shooting began, USA Today reports. Hornezes was among three people killed in an Oct. 15 shooting.

Police said Friday's shooting wasn't random, per WTAE. "We believe there's a dispute going on," a police official said at a news conference, adding that investigators are looking for possible connections to Hornezes' shooting. They said more than one shooter probably was involved, but they weren't sure whether the gunfire came from a passing vehicle. Pittsburgh Mayor Ed Gainey appealed Friday for peace. "We need to make sure this never happens again," he said. A minister at Destiny of Faith said the church will remain open. (More shootings stories.)
