Getting a new job is certainly worthy of celebration, but one Arizona woman's alleged response to a lukewarm reaction from her live-in boyfriend appears to have crossed the line. Court documents cited by KHOU and KPHO note that 46-year-old Kathy Jones was charged with aggravated assault and criminal damage after being accused of trying to set her beau on fire after he reportedly didn't want to party with her after she was hired at a local Subway sandwich shop. Per the police report on the Dec. 11 incident, Jones spritzed her boyfriend in lighter fluid and hurled lit matches at him, later telling police it was because "he would not celebrate with her after she got hired by Subway." Jones told cops she'd had two Smirnoff Ice drinks, as well as two "strong" rum beverages, that night.

The criminal damage charge was the result of Jones allegedly trying to break down the door after her boyfriend locked her out, per the police report, which adds, "She does not remember anything else about the evening and does not know how she ended up locked out of the residence." Jones, who's being held on $15,000 bond, is due in court Monday for a hearing. FOX 10 Phoenix reports that if Jones is released on bond, she's not to have any contact with her alleged victim.
