Victoria's Secret will forego its annual fashion show this year following dwindling viewership and sales. Parent company L Brands made the announcement Thursday, months after it said the lavish show, in which some of the world's most famous supermodels strut in crystal-encrusted bras and giant wings, would not be broadcast on network television. "We'll be communicating to customers, but nothing that I would say is similar in magnitude to the fashion show," L Brands CFO Stuart Burgdoerfer says, per the New York Times.

The company has been struggling in the #MeToo era amid criticism that it objectifies women. Just 3.27 million people tuned in last year—the lowest number since the holiday season show debuted to 12 million viewers in 2001, per USA Today. Nielsen said the show lost upwards of 50% of its viewers in two years. (More Victoria's Secret stories.)
