It may be weeks before autopsy and toxicology results explain the death of 21-year-old aspiring musician Truett Foster McKeehan—son of Christian recording star TobyMac, reports the Tennessean. McKeehan, who died Wednesday in his Nashville home, essentially grew up rapping on his father's albums and put out his own music under the names Truett Foster, truDog, TRU and Shiloh, per CNN. In a tribute to his son on Instagram, TobyMac shared their last text exchange, one in which he told his son how proud he was watching him on stage. In response, McKeehan wrote, "love you dad," adding, "you have always believed in me" and "make me feel like a superhero."

In the tribute, TobyMac wrote: "He expressed himself through the music he made. And by made I mean, written, recorded, produced, mixed, and designed the art. All of it. A true artist. His first show was a week ago, and it was nothing short of electric." He wrote that his son could have piggybacked on his father's fame to become a child recording star years ago, but opted not to go that route. "Our music, and what we say lyrically couldn't be more different, but the outcome was much the same... offering a room full of people a few minutes of joy in a crazy world."
