Two people were killed and two others wounded on Saturday when the last car on a rollercoaster in La Feria Chapultepec amusement park in Mexico City derailed, reports the BBC. Witnesses say the car came loose, was dragged along at high speed, then fell from 33 feet halfway through the ride; an 18-year-old man and a 21-year-old man were killed, while two women were injured. The park closed soon after the accident. "This is now in the hands of prosecutors, and prosecutors have already taken the necessary steps for an investigation," says an official from the civil protection organization. CBS News notes that the Chimera rollercoaster is decades old, and like many other rides in La Feria, was featured in other parks around the world before settling in Mexico City.
