As the Brexit imbroglio continues, Theresa May apparently has another issue on her hands: A guy known for bending spoons is planning on using his powers to keep the prime minister from pulling England out of the EU. That would be Israeli-British illusionist Uri Geller, who posted an open letter to May Friday, warning that "I love you very much but I will not allow you to lead Britain into Brexit," per the Guardian. "I feel psychically and very strongly that most British people do not want Brexit," he said in his letter on Facebook. "Although I currently live in Israel I am still a British citizen and feel very passionately about the country." So passionately, in fact, that he's ready to take action if May, whom he says he's known for more than two decades, doesn't acquiesce to his wishes.
"As much as I admire you, I will stop you telepathically from doing this," he notes. "And believe me I am capable of executing this." The Times of Israel notes that Geller has also previously promised to keep Labour chief Jeremy Corbyn from becoming the next prime minister, and Geller mentions that as well in his letter to May. He adds that his telepathic powers have been "validated by the CIA, MI5, and Mossad" and that he has "influenced many high ranking officials around the world"; he also reminds May that he predicted Donald Trump would take the White House in 2016. "Before I take this drastic course of action, I appeal to you to stop the process immediately while you still have a chance," he writes. (More Uri Geller stories.)
