Steve Martin dropped by his old stomping grounds on Saturday, telling the crowd at Saturday Night Live that "I'm just a normal and straightforward guy." Appearing in the cold open on Tucker Carlson's Fox News show as the recently arrested Roger Stone, Martin crowed, "What a fun couple of days! I'm loving the ride! Go Nixon!" Turning to aforementioned arrest, Martin complained that "The whole experience was so harrowing that afterwards I could only manage one radio interview. And a speech from the steps of the courthouse. And two appearances on television. It’s horrible!" Alex Moffat's Carlson called him "a man you look at and instantly think, 'I trust this guy.'" Kate McKinnon appeared as Wilbur Ross, notes the New York Times, and Cecily Strong as Jeanine Pirro advocated "a Marie Kondo approach to cleaning up this country. ... You know what doesn't spark joy in me? Guatemalans." (More Saturday Night Live stories.)
