Chris Brown won't face any charges at this time in Paris after a woman accused the singer and two other men of rape, the local prosecutor's office tells CNN. All three men were arrested Tuesday, but have since been released, the BBC reports, citing French media. No charges have been filed against any of the men, but the investigation continues, officials say. A 24-year-old woman said she met Brown and his friends at a club in Paris called Le Crystal, and the group returned to his hotel, the Mandarin Oriental Hotel, according to the AP and the French publication Closer.
The woman told police that Brown and the other two men assaulted her in the hotel. Brown, 29, issued an all-caps statement via Instagram denying the allegations. "I WANNA MAKE IT PERFECTLY CLEAR...... THIS IS FALSE AND A WHOLE LOT OF CAP! NNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEVVVVVVVVVVEEEEEERRRRRR!!!!!! FOR MY DAUGHTER AND MY FAMILY THIS IS SO DISPRESPECTFUL AND IS AGAINST MY CHARACTER AND MORALS!!!!!" Brown has been embroiled in legal trouble since pleading guilty to felony assault on his then-girlfriend Rihanna in 2009. He completed his probation in that case four years ago.
