Amy Poehler is no fan of the NRA, so she and her Parks and Recreation colleagues were less than pleased when the organization used a GIF showing Poehler's character from the show. "[T]hank you for being the voice of over 5 Million #NRA members," the NRA's official account tweeted to Dana Loesch, the organization's spokesperson, Wednesday night, alongside a GIF of Poehler's character saying "thank you." Parks and Rec creator Michael Schur quickly responded, Variety reports: "Hi, please take this down. I would prefer you not use a GIF from a show I worked on to promote your pro-slaughter agenda," he tweeted. "Also, Amy isn't on twitter, but she texted me a message: 'Can you tweet the NRA for me and tell them I said f--- off?'"

Nick Offerman and Adam Scott, Poehler's co-stars on the show, then chimed in, Mashable reports. "[O]ur good-hearted show and especially our Leslie Knope represent the opposite of your pro-slaughter agenda," Offerman tweeted, referring to Poehler's character. "[T]ake it down and also please eat s---.'" "Hey @nra please stay the f--- away from Leslie Knope," Scott tweeted. As of late Thursday morning, the NRA's tweet remained up with more than 6,000 likes and 1,500 retweets. Schur's, Offerman's, and Scott's tweets had together amassed more than 575,000 likes and more than 147,000 retweets. The NRA's thank-you tweet came after Loesch was jeered at a Florida town hall event. (More Amy Poehler stories.)
