Drivers Get Slimed by Eels in Oregon
Eels cover an Oregon highway after a truck carrying them for shipping rolled over Thursday.   (Depoe Bay Fire District)

Drivers in Oregon got a slimy surprise Thursday afternoon when a truck full of eels overturned on Highway 101, KPTV reports. The eels were on their way to Korea "for consumption" when the seafood livestock truck carrying them rolled over. The Oregonian states it was a "decidedly disgusting scene" as one sedan got covered in eels. Portions of the highway were closed for cleanup, creating delays, but there were no injuries—just dozens of horrifying eels. The Depoe Bay Fire District tweeted photos and video. The Oregon State Police also chipped in a few photos. (More eel stories.)
