Bachelor in Paradise might be done for good following allegations of misconduct on the set of the ABC show in Mexico. Warner Bros. is investigating and has only promised to "take appropriate responsive action." But Bachelor-spoiler site Reality Steve reports the show's fourth season is now "cancelled," while a source tells Entertainment Tonight that the show will probably be taken off the air permanently. Those reports stem from a lawsuit filed by a producer who witnessed a sexual encounter between contestants DeMario Jackson and Corinne Olympios on the first day of filming, June 4, and later claimed Olympios may have been too drunk to consent.
A source tells the Los Angeles Times that Jackson and Olympios were both "extremely drunk" when they got naked in a pool. But it wasn't just a producer who was disturbed. One contestant tells People that other witnesses also expressed concerns. The production staff "could have seen that [Olympios] was drinking too much and that [Jackson] was taking advantage," the contestant says. As for the rumored cancellation, "they could have stopped this before it got this far." Jackson and Olympios were reportedly informed of the complaint and shown the footage the next day. Sources tell TMZ that Olympios "remembers nothing" and "blames producers for not … protecting her." She has since obtained an attorney. (More The Bachelor stories.)
