The Los Angeles Rams' new head coach is the youngest in NFL history. CNN reports the Rams announced the hiring Sean McVay, who is all of 30 years old, on Thursday. He beats the record formerly held by Lane Kiffin, who was 31 when named head coach of the Oakland Raiders in 2007. McVay entered the league in 2008 as an assistant wide receivers coach with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and spent the last three seasons as offensive coordinator in Washington. The Rams are a good fit, age-wise, for McVay. As the team with the youngest roster in the league at the start of the season, the Rams only have one player actually older than McVay, according to Deadspin. McVay replaces Jeff Fisher, who went 4-12 this season. (More Los Angeles Rams stories.)
