Christopher Darden has "opened up" about his relationship with fellow OJ Simpson prosecutor Marcia Clark, according to Entertainment Tonight, though he did so in a very lawyerly way. "We were more than friends," he told ET. "We were inseparable." FX’s hit The People v. OJ Simpson strongly hinted at a long-rumored romantic relationship between the two, though Darden refused to be pinned down. "I think I have told the truth," he said when asked if he would ever tell the whole truth about what went on between him and Clark during the case. "In lawyer land, a half truth is a truth."
Darden told ET he "can't really remember the details" of his time with Clark, whom he describes as a fabulous woman and lawyer—but he knows they never kissed. "I’m not a kisser," he said. "Kissing is intimate. Kissing is more intimate than sex." Asked to describe his relationship with Clark in one word, he said "Fire." He added: "I don’t think fire’s romantic. I think fire's passion." Vulture notes that Clark and Darden have long refused to confirm or deny rumors of a romance, with Clark saying earlier this year that they "just didn't want to give that subject any traction."
