Sanders Wins Democratic Caucus in Wyoming

Bernie Sanders has been declared the winner of Saturday's Democratic caucus in Wyoming, NBC News reports. With 94% reporting, Sanders had a 56% to 44% lead over Hillary Clinton. Unfortunately for Sanders as he tries to close the gap with Clinton, the win only nabs him eight of the state's 14 proportionally awarded delegates, with his opponent taking the other six. According to the Hill, Sanders now trails Clinton by 248 pledged delegates. But more was at stake than delegates in Wyoming, where CNN reports Sanders was always favored due to it being rural and largely white. With the victory, Sanders has now won eight of the past nine Democratic contests and takes that momentum into delegate-heavy New York on April 19. (More Bernie Sanders stories.)
