No Sign of Shooter at Naval Medical Center

Scary reports circulated this afternoon about shots fired at the Naval Medical Center in San Diego, though so far there's no confirmation of any shooter. The alerts went out about noon Eastern when the facility posted a message on Facebook saying that an "active shooter has just been reported" at a building on the sprawling complex. It added this all-too-modern warning: "All occupants are advised to run, hide or fight." However, an initial sweep has turned up nothing, reports NBC News. The AP notes that the report of three gunshots fired in the basement of the building came from a single person, and the facility's spokesman is not confirming that an active shooter exists.
