The Denver Nuggets scored early and often, late and often, and plenty in between, in a 168-116 win over the Seattle SuperSonics last night, reports the Associated Press. Carmelo Anthony had 26 points and Allen Iverson had 24 for the Nuggets, who led by as many as 55 points in the fourth period. The 168 was an NBA season high, but was 16 short of Denver's franchise record.

The Nuggets set that mark in a 186-184 triple-overtime loss to Detroit in 1983. Tonight, Denver didn't come close to losing to Seattle. The Nuggets had three players in double figures in the first quarter and shot 69 percent. Denver then hit five 3-pointers in the second, and scored 36 to lead 84-58 at halftime. Marcus Camby had 13 points, 15 rebounds, and 10 assists. (More NBA stories.)
