Wednesday's GOP debate might have been a setback for some presidential contenders, but Ted Cruz wasn't among them. His team raised $1.1 million between the debate and Thursday afternoon, Cruz told Fox News, per the Hill. "That is a real demonstration, I think, of the hunger Republican primary voters have for someone who will actually stand and fight for them," he said, according to the Washington Post. Backers apparently agree with some pundits who say Cruz was a winner that night, thanks to his early attacks on the media. Earlier this month, Cruz's campaign said it had raised $12 million in the third quarter and $26 million since March. (More Ted Cruz stories.)
