Today in the Bizarre Lawsuit Dept.: A Ukrainian woman is suing Mila Kunis for allegedly stealing a chicken 25 years ago. Kristina Karo says Kunis made off with her pet, "Doggie," when they were both young girls in Ukraine, People reports. Karo's small-claims suit further explains that Karo needs $5,000 for the counseling that ensued, especially because "upon arriving in the US and seeing [Kunis] in person, more therapy was needed due to emotional abuse." As TMZ notes, Karo—who claims to have been Kunis' best childhood friend when they were in first grade—is currently trying to promote her singing career.
Kunis and Ashton Kutcher responded to the lawsuit in a video yesterday in which the couple and their friends joke that the timing must be completely coincidental and have nothing whatsoever to do with Karo's new music video. "I was devastated" when she heard about the lawsuit, Kunis deadpans in the video. "I was weeping, I was dumbfounded, I was like, 'Which chicken did I steal?'" She adds that she has not actually been served with the lawsuit, "but emotionally, I feel served." However, she says, she plans to countersue Karo "for making me sit there and watch your music video, shamelessly. My body hurts, my eyes hurt, they're burning. That requires money."
