US / prank NJ Driver Pulls Christmas Vacation Prank Changes exit sign to read 'Clark Griswold' By Newser Editors and Wire Services Posted Dec 26, 2014 9:03 AM CST Copied In this image provided by HomeAway, Beverly D'Angelo, left, as Ellen Griswold, and Chevy Chase, as Clark Griswold, appear in an ad for vacation-rental Web site HomeAway. (AP Photo/HomeAway) At least one Christmas Vacation fan was driving on New Jersey's Garden State Parkway yesterday. Someone changed a sign for the highway's exit for Clark and Westfield to read "Clark Griswold." Griswold, of course, is the father's character played by Chevy Chase in the Christmas cult classic by National Lampoon. State Police spokesman Sgt. Gregory Williams confirms photos of the sign posted on social media are real, but says the taped-on Griswold sign at the highway's exit 135 later was removed by the Turnpike Authority.
