Benjamin Netanyahu also suggested in televised remarks today that the Israeli military will reassess its Gaza operation once troops complete the demolition of Hamas military tunnels under the Gaza-Israel border. Still, Israeli TV stations have reported that some troops have already pulled out of Gaza, Reuters notes. Meanwhile, both sides have continued shelling, and the death toll in Gaza has passed 1,650, according to Palestinian officials. Israel has accused Hamas and militant allies of kidnapping a soldier, Hadar Goldin; Netanyahu says Israel "will do everything to bring our kidnapped soldier home," CNN reports.
