Allen Iverson wasn't the highest-scoring Denver player last night—that honor goes to a still-fragile Carmelo Anthony with 28 points and 15 rebounds—but his 25 points came at the right times to secure the Nuggets a 105-103 overtime victory in Portland. Iverson, who shot 10-for-28, had only six points in the first half, reports the Rocky Mountain News.

Blazer Brandon Roy edged out Iverson with 26 points, but missed his own last-second lob. Portland had several chances to go ahead on free throws, but their 72% from-the-line shooting caught up with them. Jarrett Jack managed a steal with 22 ticks left but turned the ball over six seconds later to Denver's Linus Kleiza, setting the stage for Iverson's rescue. (More NBA stories.)
