Rob Ford says he's getting help for his substance abuse—even though he won't admit he has a substance abuse problem. "I'm dealing with it," he told Fox News. "I am in training every day. I'm in the gym for two hours every day. I'm seeking professional help. I'm not an alcoholic. I'm not a drug addict." Asked to clarify if he was getting substance abuse counseling, he replied, "I don't call it substance abuse because I'm not an addict."
Ford reiterated that in a heated interview with Bill Weir on CNN. Asked why he wouldn't see an addiction specialist, he cried, "Because I'm not an addict! You've never got drunk before, Bill?" When Weir replied that he wasn't the mayor, Ford said, "I don't look at myself as the mayor. I look at myself as just a normal, regular person." When Weir pointed out that Ford has kids, he said, "I'm the best father around." It was a busy weekend for Ford, who featured prominently in Saturday Night Live's Cold Open, and attended a Canadian Football League game, which Global News reports was notable for two reasons: 1) The league's commissioner had publicly asked him not to come, and 2) Fans of the other team held up this amusing sign.
