Arachnophobes and people afraid of flying will be equally creeped out by this story: Air traffic controllers in charge of guiding flights into Kansas City International Airport had to flee their posts because of a spider infestation, the New York Daily News reports. Five flights were delayed for around 15 minutes each when the control room was evacuated and controllers were moved to a different part of the building after three of them suffered spider bites. Exterminators found a nest egg that had probably hatched under the controllers' desks, reports KSHB. (More spiders stories.)
