It's a great problem for any roller coaster to have: People were screaming too loudly. So loudly, in fact, that the screams exceeded an agreed-upon decibel limit between the Great America park in Santa Clara and a real estate company that owns neighboring properties. As a result, the park shut down the Gold Striker on Monday, quickly added a tunnel over a particularly scream-inducing section, and had it running again before the holiday, reports the San Jose Mercury News. The wooden coaster is 108 feet high and zips along at speeds greater than 50mph. (More roller coasters stories.)
