If you thought Kanye West's latest album title, Yeezus, was perhaps a bit pretentious, well ... here comes Jay-Z with Magna Carta Holy Grail. He announced the upcoming album during a 3-minute Samsung commercial that aired during last night's NBA Finals Game 5, Rolling Stone reports. The album—his 12th and the first one since 2009—is out July 4, "which is already a totally Jay-Z-is-America-is-the-new-Jay-Gatsby thing to do," writes Zach Dionne on Vulture. Samsung is giving out 1 million copies of the album, free, to Galaxy smartphone users through an app, the Wall Street Journal reports. (More Jay-Z stories.)
