For the sixth time in as many games, Detroit has neutralized San Jose, the Detroit News reports. The Sharks didn't come close in their latest contest, as six Red Wings each scored to make it 6-3. Dominik Hasek only needed 15 saves to secure the win for Detroit and stretch San Jose's winless streak to four. In other NHL action:

Tampa Bay notched its first consecutive road shutouts as Johan Holmqvist blanked Ottawa, making 25 saves to secure a 2-0 win.
Chicago made a repeat performance as well, getting their second 2-1 shootout win in two days on 38 saves by Patrick Lalime.
