It's been a tense week in Hollywood, as TV networks announce which shows have been canceled, which have been renewed, and which pilots have been picked up for next season. Now the results are (mostly) in. Did your favorite survive the chopping block? Zap2It has been keeping score. Some talking points:
- NBC is losing a lot of half-hour sitcoms. In addition to the end of 30 Rock and The Office, it has axed The New Normal, 1600 Penn, Guys With Kids, Up All Night and Whitney. Amazingly, it has renewed the embattled Community—and Deadline speculates it may attempt to bring back famously ousted showrunner Dan Harmon.
- To the surprise of no one, Smash is also out at NBC. More surprising: It has also nixed Rock Center, reports the New York Times.
